Amazon Merchant SKU

Amazon Merchant SKU

Overview

Each listing on Amazon has two distinct identifiers - an ASIN, uniquely assigned by Amazon to organize products within its catalog, and a Merchant SKU, the seller's internal identifier. The Merchant SKU enables sellers to manage and associate their products within these listings effectively. In case of a SKU mismatch between the product identifiers in Sellercloud and Amazon, the Merchant SKU field serves as a means to map the corresponding products.

By default, Sellercloud will use the Product ID as the Merchant SKU when posting new products to Amazon.

Configure Amazon Merchant SKUs

You can set the Merchant SKU of your products either individually or in bulk via a file import.

The Merchant SKU field is not visible on a product's Amazon Properties page by default. To use this field, you must disable the Use ProductID as Amazon Merchant SKU client setting, which is enabled by default. Once this setting is disabled and saved, the Merchant SKU field will be visible on the product's Amazon Properties page.
