# Sears Categories and Attributes

## Overview

Sears offers a wide range of appliances, electronics, tools, clothing, home furnishings, garden equipment, and more. [Integrating your Sears account with Sellercloud](https://descartessystems.aha.io/pages/7630868846413641601) allows you to manage your listings, as well as categories and attributes. **Sears Categories** and **Attributes** are specific characteristics that are relevant to your products and help organize your catalog to make your [Sears Listings](https://descartessystems.aha.io/pages/7630868784269374265) more informative.

A **Sears Product Category** is required before you can [post a product](https://descartessystems.aha.io/pages/7630868784269374265) on Sears.

## Sears Categories

You can configure the product’s **Sears Categories** on the [Sears Product Properties](https://descartessystems.aha.io/pages/7630868922677033771) page. Categories can be updated individually or [in bulk](https://descartessystems.aha.io/pages/7630834039903362072).

### Individually

Sears Categories may not be available by default. Contact [Sellercloud Support](https://descartessystems.aha.io/pages/7630831494839563427) and request the latest category list to be added to your server.

To update categories individually per product:

1. Navigate to **Catalog** > **Manage Catalog** > Choose your **Product**.
2. **Toolbox** > **Sears Properties** > Click **Edit**.
3. Go to **Listing Details** Panel > Click **Change** next to your product’s **Category**.
4. A pop will appear with the available categories.

5. Select your product’s **Category** and click **Save**.

### In Bulk

To update categories for multiple products simultaneously:

1. Navigate to **Catalog** > **Tools** > **Import Product Info**.
2. Choose **Import Sears Attributes**.
3. Download the available template in the desired format and populate the following columns:
   1. **ProductID**
   2. **AttributeName**- (e.g., Color).
   3. **Sears Category**- The full category path. You can find it on the Sears Product Properties Page, once you click on Change Category (for example, if you want to select **Adapters**, the full Category path will be **Computers & Electronics|Power & Cables|Adapters**).
   4. **AttributeValue**- A valid Sears Attribute, related to the Sears Category.
4. Save the file and **Upload** it in Sellercloud.

We advise using the Import Sears Attributes option, instead of the Bulk Product Update, to avoid any potential errors and issues while updating your Sears Categories.

## Sears Attributes

You can configure attributes for your Sears listings individually or [in bulk](https://descartessystems.aha.io/pages/7630834039903362072).

### Individually

To update the product’s attributes individually:

1. Navigate to **Catalog** > **Manage Catalog** > Choose your **Product**.
2. **Toolbox** > **Sears Properties** > Click **Edit**.
3. Go to **Listing Details** Panel > Click the icon next to **Configure Attributes**.
4. A pop will appear with the available attributes > Select values for the product’s **attributes**.

Attributes and values are pulled from Sears. Once you click on **Force Refresh Attributes**, Sellercloud will update the product’s attributes via the API. This means the information is refreshed automatically, ensuring that your listing is up-to-date. Additional attributes or values cannot be manually added or edited.

### In Bulk

To update attributes for multiple products simultaneously:

1. Go to **Catalog** > **Manage Catalog** > Select **products**.
2. **Action Menu** > **Export channel info** > **Sears Attributes** > **Export**.

3. Click on the Queued Job Link and download the template.
4. Populate the following fields:
   1. **Product IDs**
   2. **Attribute Name** - (e.g., Color).
   3. **Sears Category**- Sears Category (full path) related to the entered Sears attribute. This is required even if the product already has a category.
   4. **Attribute Value**- (e.g., Blue). This must be a valid Sears attribute value associated with the product’s selected Sears Category and Sears Attribute. Valid attributes can be found by downloading the “Item Class/Attributes Mapping” file on your Sears Seller Portal (Products tab > Bulk).
5. Go to **Catalog** > **Tools** > **Import Product Info** > **Import Sears Attributes**.
6. Choose the populated file and click **Import**.

From this page, you can also download a blank template and populate it. You must use the valid Sears attribute associated with the product’s selected **Sears Category**.
