# Tracking

Tracking refers to the **process of monitoring the whereabouts of a package** as it is transported from the warehouse to the customer. This can be done using the **tracking number** on the shipping label.

Order tracking can be done by the sender, the recipient, or a third party, using various tools such as the carrier’s website, a tracking app, or a tracking number provided by the carrier.

Tracking information is usually updated in real-time and gives the **status of the package**, the **estimated delivery date**, and other information.

The tracking number can also be used to view the package’s progress through the shipping process, including the **date and time it was picked** up, **when it was scanned** at various points along the way, and **when it was delivered**.
