Prosper Mamane: [Descartes] Sellercloud saved me on average 3 to 5 hours a day, every day. We have built this company from a small business that was a local AC repair shop to a leading aftermarket supplier in the United States. We went from selling a few items on eBay to selling over 1,000 items a day, every single day.
Prosper Mamane: Before [Descartes] Sellercloud, we were using a very traditional order management system where orders would come in on the respective marketplace, and we would print out each marketplace. It was very tedious, and it would take hours and hours to get our orders set. The reason I even found a group like Sellercloud was to manage all my orders in one place, as well as automatically assign the appropriate items to the appropriate teams. And [Descartes] Sellercloud provided me with those tools.
Prosper Mamane: [Descartes] Sellercloud custom-tailored the saved views to allow my extremely intricate business of many different parts to be customized for each team. Sellercloud guys were extremely patient and worked on my schedule, and we programmed every single item. And within two weeks, my guys were through the moon about it because they would come in and everything was done.
Prosper Mamane: There was no more doing anything by hand, no more preparing six different papers. Everything was so automated, so clean, and very few errors, to be honest with you. If there had been errors upon launch, I guarantee you this project would have gotten axed. There were like none. I’m like, guys, you just got 50 hours in a week back.
Prosper Mamane: Having the orders organized and ready to go in the morning allows the people in charge of the floor more time to be more efficient in other areas. The guys who are producing the orders are getting more items done per day because they are getting the orders earlier.
Prosper Mamane: So instead of waiting around and losing those 2-3 hours in the morning while things were being arranged, we are now getting into production right away in the morning and now gaining 2-3 hours in the afternoon to take on more business. Those 3 hours are probably 200 or 300 orders that we can process that day.
Prosper Mamane: Without [Descartes] Sellercloud, these orders were lingering to the next day, and at the end of the week, it would compound, and then we would have to make changes in the store because we couldn’t handle the volume of orders coming in. With [Descartes] Sellercloud, we have been able to process a tremendous amount of orders.
Prosper Mamane: I would just like to continue growing this business, becoming a larger and larger supplier for more and more wholesale distributors, and more and more customers. The more we grow, the more opportunities we get. And it’s nice to have this business that we have built together and grown together.
Prosper Mamane: Once you have grown your business into a real business, not just a little garage business, ecommerce management is crucial because of all the time and the tools it provides. There are many different softwares out there, and I think that is a testament to how important and how needed it is.
